Sustainable development

The vision of FORTISCHEM a. s. is to become one of the leading energy-chemical companies in the areas of efficiency, sustainable development, and ecological balance. Therefore, it was necessary to define the concept of three sustainability pillars.

Environmental Pillar

The company annually modernizes its technologies, reduces electricity consumption, engages in the use of renewable sources, and circular economy.

New production units meet strict safety and environmental protection standards and are designed as BAT (Best Available Technology). Measures for more efficient use of raw materials and products are also introduced.

The company invests in several projects that reduce emissions of pollutants, reduce electricity consumption, and allow for more efficient use of resources.

Social Pillar

The company’s goal is to be perceived positively – as a good, beneficial, trustworthy, and safe neighbor, despite the proximity of its site to the residential area.

The company is a significant employer in the region. Besides safety and health protection, it focuses on regular and targeted employee training and long-term commitment to their personal and professional growth and qualification enhancement.

The company actively contributes to the functioning of the town of Nováky, especially in treating municipal wastewater and supplying heat. It also supports publicly beneficial projects within the Minigrant program, which focuses on the environment, culture, and sports.

Economic Pillar

The company continues to focus on maintaining its position as a significant employer and investor in the region and as a strong player in the markets it operates in. Achieving long-term goals of turnover growth and maintaining profitability leads to maintaining this position. The company’s strengths are mainly the high quality of products and the high standard of customer services.

The direction of FORTISCHEM, a. s., towards sustainable development is also supported by established systems of quality, environment, safety, and energy, participation in the global initiative RESPONSIBLE CARE, and the global platform EcoVadis, which includes the evaluation of the company’s sustainable business.
